Meatball on a stick anyone..My mom's good friend ask
ed me to make cake pops for a Christmas party coming up. Cake pops you say, never heard of them. Cake on a stick, sounds interesting...foreign to me, but I am always up to try new things. I looked into it and thought I'd give it a go. These cake pops were my first attempt, before I had to make them for the Christmas party. For Christmas I went with a red velvet cake. Tried dipping the pop in marshmallows and chocolate chips, just to add a little flair.
It took me some time to figure out how to keep the cake on the stick; the darn things kept falling into the chocolate. Grr, aggravating. In terms of taste though, these rank among the best. The cake in the middle is so moist and delicious. My husband LOVES them!
